Everyday Sunday might have been last-minute registrants for the XYQ Street Soccer Tournament 2007, but still emerged worthy debut champions with an emphatic scoreline of 10-0 in the final match. Boon 4, Josh 3, Peng 2, Eugene 1, Nathan (clean sheet), Kim (biked off to celebrate Deepavali?!)
Nathan was also awarded the "Clean Sheet Award" for conceding the least amount of goals throughout the tourney. The match ball has been gifted to him for his steady handling, resilience through sickness and for allowing an overzealous kid to almost shoot him in the face!
If not for the team's variance of goalscorers, we would have bagged the Golden Boot award as well, for we were the team which scored the most goals by far.
Cheers to Eugene's consistency, Kim's sweet new yellow ride, Josh (and uh, 23-year-old Peng)'s ORD, Nathan's gloves, Boon's big-headed third finger hahah; and good luck to those who are still having their exams at the moment, if you need it. If not enough, you could always get more luck by praying at every single temple, church and mosque on this island in the sun.
