When I went through the scores of photos stowed away in the weighty tin boxes brimmed with forgotten memories, I found several pictures of my father that irresistibly made me play the earworm theme of Tom Cruise's Top Gun (too many times they played the tune of "Take My Breath Away" in that flicker) in my head.
